Mirage

Mirage is one of the major antagonists in Zoophobia.

Origins in older canons[]

Mirage is a demon created from a soul of a 19-th century serial killer to serve her greater demonic creators. Surviving in Hell is not a thing she is very fond of because she has to suppress her own independent nature. Mirage has always desperately wanted to get back to material world until she found a suitable demonhost: Gale.

The demon and the demonhost[]

Gale is the host human of whom Mirage has taken control.

She was a regular young softspoken country girl. Mirage had been with her since birth but on her 18th birthday the gained enough power to manipulate things enough to cause the *accidental* death of gale's parents, and therefore starting Gale's downward spiral of will power, to the point of her will being so weak Mirage could seize total control of her body by current age. Gale's soul still remains in her body, but it is hidden deep within and suppressed by Mirage.

The only visible sign of possession is the eye color - Gale had brown-green eyes, while Mirage makes them glow blue.

Relations with other characters[]

Phineas[]

Phineas is Mirage's boyfriend and bodyguard. He is a "true" demon, older and for some instance more powerful than her. He can shapeshift into anything but chooses to take the form of a young man that Mirage was involved with back when she was still alive as a human to fit her tastes. He has a crush on her but she feigns love for him.

Zill[]

Zill is the one to defeat Mirage (but not without help from all of his friends).

Addison[]

Addison would have ended up being under Mirage's influence being also turned into a demonhost. Mirage would take advantage of him, using her seductive , yet threateningly soulless personality, as well as carrot-and-stick approach. But on the other hand she is fascinated with him in her twisted way.
